Key West Tarpon Sailfish Fishing Report

IMG_4472.jpg

As spring moves over the country the tarpon and sailfish move with it. Tarpon are flooding the Florida Keys backcountry and channels. Fly, artificial and live bait have all been generating bites and new profile pics. Bait is still very available and easy pickings for the skilled castnetter! #6 sibiki also are getting pilchards under chum! Best part is both tarpon and sailfish eat several of the same baits.

Sailfish are making the annual trip past Key West and are biting very well as we move past the full moon! Drifting, kites and trolling are all productive! My personal fav running them down and sight fishing is about to be in full swing! Most fun you can have no matter your experience level!

April is high up on my list of favorite months!

Catch em UP!
