Captain Travis Holeman, host of “Chasin’ the Sun” on Discovery Channel spent many seasons traveling with his younger brother "Bear" on the professional saltwater redfish tour and other tournament circuits of the South from Texas to the Florida Keys and up the East Coast.
He earned his “PhD” in fish catching on the ESPN2 Redfish Cup, FLW, IFA Pro, SKA, several TV top team invite tournaments, and billfish tournaments, all while guiding fishing clients in multiple locations on the Gulf coast.
Currently, Travis is firmly rooted in the Lower Keys as a full time fishing guide with over 25 years of guiding experience. When he is not guiding anglers in Key West, you will probably find him, well, fishing in Key West. Travis is a passionate angler who enjoys fishing as much, if not more than you do.
