Key West Offshore Fishing Charters
Some people call it “Deep Sea” fishing. We call it the “grocery store”.
There are really two distinct offshore fisheries in Key West, the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. Easy access to both of these fisheries provide numerous opportunities on our Key West offshore fishing charters for anglers to catch a variety of fish in many different conditions.
We love fishing offshore in Key West. Some of our favorite fishing is:
Sight fishing for permit
Trolling for wahoo, sailfish, dolphin
Deep dropping for swordfish, tilefish, snapper
Wreck and reef fishing for grouper and snapper
Shrimp boat fishing for tuna
Key West Inshore Fishing Charters
The shallow waters near Key West provide one of the most visual fishing experiences on the planet.
The Florida Keys and Key West are located where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Gulf of Mexico. The shallow flats, basins, and channels of the Lower Keys are used by fish such as tarpon, permit, bonefish, barracuda, and sharks to travel and feed and provide a unique convenient venue for anglers from all over the world. The majority of traveling anglers come to Key West to fish for tarpon but there are a lot of other things to fish for on the flats of Key West.
Permit: The Lower Keys is arguably the best permit fishery in the world.
Bonefish: Population of bonefish in the Lower Keys is at an all time high.
Barracuda: Recent regulations designed to protect barracudas has been put in place.
Sharks: Interact with an apex predator.

Key West Fishing Guide and host of “Chasin’ The Sun” on the Discovery Channel.
Key West Angling was founded by Captain Travis Holeman, host of “Chasin’ the Sun” on Discovery Channel. After many seasons traveling with his younger brother "Bear" on the professional saltwater redfish and tournament circuits of the South from Texas to the Florida Keys and up the East Coast, it became clear what the future held for them. Choosing their home waters was easy. Key West and the Lower Keys offer some of the best fishing in the world.
